Priorities

The American Association of AgLabor Providers’ (AAALP) vision is a professional, safe, and sustainable agricultural labor provider industry that prioritizes workforce well-being and benefits the entire supply chain. AAALP supports members’ success by promoting ethical practices, fostering professional development, and strengthening the industry through education and collaboration. Our priorities reflect this mission, addressing key focus areas such as workforce management, responsible recruitment, and fair competition. By concentrating on these areas, we aim to empower our members and drive positive change across the agricultural sector.

INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALIZATION

Driving awareness of the crucial role farm labor contractors (FLCs) play in sourcing and supplying a high-caliber agricultural workforce to the U.S. fresh produce industry. Providing education and guidance to FLCs to ensure professionalization by standardizing responsible recruitment and fair labor practices nationwide.

FAIR COMPETITION AND MARKET DIFFERENTIATION

Advancing the application of fair commercial terms and rates that enable FLCs to operate sustainable businesses while preventing unscrupulous practices and exploitative labor activities. Building the industry’s ability to ensure continuous access to a skilled labor supply across all levels.

RESPONSIBLE RECRUITMENT AND LABOR MANAGEMENT BEST PRACTICES

Identifying and promoting international, national, and industry best practices in labor management by creating and disseminating guidelines, resources, and standards that support the legal, safe, and fair employment of workers.

COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Developing and delivering training programs, webinars, resources, and networks to keep members informed of industry best practices and legislative requirements.

COLLECTIVE VOICE FOR THE INDUSTRY

Representing the interests of FLCs by fostering a network of like-minded, reputable businesses, building relationships with key stakeholders, monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, and communicating the industry’s needs to decision-makers.

REPUTATION MANAGEMENT

Empowering FLCs to effectively manage their reputation by embedding responsible recruitment and fair labor practices into their operations. Ensuring recognition by the market, clients, and labor supply chain as ethical, transparent, and sustainable labor solutions. Through self-assessment, verification, and certification, FLCs gain the tools to demonstrate and validate their leadership in management systems.
